The New Year's cards of 2020 featured the rat, the first animal of the Chinese zodiac (Junishi). Rats are known as symbols of prosperity and agility, and New Year's greeting cards often contained wishes like 'May you have a year full of vitality.' Additionally, the kanji character '子' (ne) represents 'beginning,' carrying the meaning of the start of a new cycle.
