In Japanese tradition, the sheep, the eighth animal of the Chinese zodiac (Junishi), was the symbol for 2015. Sheep are known as gentle and peaceful animals, and New Year's greeting cards often contained wishes like 'May you have a peaceful year ahead.' This card was designed using rounded circular die-cuts to represent this gentle image.
